The plant was building out 40,000 sq ft and needed stable, even cooling across the whole floor for a single ~10-hour shift.
The textbook answer was a centralised Air Handling Unit — big central plant, heavy ductwork across 40,000 sq ft, copper-intensive piping throughout. That quote came back around RM600,000 installed. The capex is what sent them looking for another way.
We delivered the same coverage differently: 21 SystemAir 7 HP floor units, zone-distributed for even control — no central plant, no 40,000 sq ft of ductwork, no copper dependency. Installed and commissioned on schedule, holding 24°C across the full floor, for roughly RM300,000 all-in — about half the capital cost of the AHU plan.
